The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons to students aged 11-16.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Maths curriculum and share best practices.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support student well-being and encourage a positive learning environment.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and school events that promote the school’s values.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level, preferably across the 11-16 age range.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in Initial Teacher Training or school-to-school support.
  • Familiarity with the Golborne Way and a commitment to the school’s values.
  • Experience with CPD and early career teacher development.
  • Flexibility to work in a collaborative and innovative environment.
