Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across all year groups and abilities.
  • Create engaging and stimulating learning environments that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver effective curriculum content.
  • Support students in reaching their full potential through extra-curricular and revision sessions.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent improvement and outstanding examination results.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and career growth.
  • Uphold and promote the school’s values, including consistency, rigour, and high expectations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching mathematics at secondary level.
  • Ability to teach across all key stages and abilities.
  • Commitment to achieving excellent student outcomes and examination results.
  • Strong classroom management and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Further Mathematics at A level.
  • Experience with nationally recognised qualifications such as NPQs.
  • Experience in providing extra-curricular support and revision sessions.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on professional development and CPD.
