The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a successful and collaborative department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage students and promote deep understanding.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve departmental outcomes.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities related to Maths.
  • Support the school’s commitment to Values, Care, and Achievement through pastoral and academic guidance.
  • Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4, ideally with GCSE qualifications.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching A Level Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with using technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on Values, Care and Achievement.
