The Opportunity:
A Maths Teacher (Part Time/Full Time) is needed to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in Key Stage 3 and 4. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through high-quality teaching and pastoral care in a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons tailored to the needs of students in Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Plan and adapt schemes of work in line with curriculum requirements and student needs.
- Provide pastoral support and care to students, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Liaise with colleagues to support baseline assessments and the development of teaching strategies.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum innovations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold the school’s values and ethos at all times.
- Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals through targeted interventions and guidance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Maths to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
- Ability to plan and deliver adapted learning plans for students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to pastoral care and student welfare.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with additional needs.
- Experience in behaviour management strategies.
- Familiarity with SEN frameworks and support systems.
- Experience in curriculum development or innovation.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary on the Qualified Teacher Scale (UQT/MPS) plus SEN allowance.
- 32.5 hours per week for full-time roles.
- Permanent position with 52 contractual weeks.
