The Opportunity:

A Maths Teacher (Part Time/Full Time) is needed to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in Key Stage 3 and 4. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through high-quality teaching and pastoral care in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons tailored to the needs of students in Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Plan and adapt schemes of work in line with curriculum requirements and student needs.
  • Provide pastoral support and care to students, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Liaise with colleagues to support baseline assessments and the development of teaching strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum innovations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold the school’s values and ethos at all times.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals through targeted interventions and guidance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Maths to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Ability to plan and deliver adapted learning plans for students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to pastoral care and student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with additional needs.
  • Experience in behaviour management strategies.
  • Familiarity with SEN frameworks and support systems.
  • Experience in curriculum development or innovation.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary on the Qualified Teacher Scale (UQT/MPS) plus SEN allowance.
  • 32.5 hours per week for full-time roles.
  • Permanent position with 52 contractual weeks.
