The Opportunity:
A Maths Teacher with Leadership Opportunities is sought to join a newly opened, high-achieving school. This role offers the chance to take on leadership responsibilities and contribute to a dynamic, growing department. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education and shaping the future of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Work closely with the Head of Mathematics to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning.
- Support the development of the mathematics department and contribute to departmental planning and strategy.
- Take on leadership responsibilities, including the opportunity to become the Second in the Mathematics Department.
- Engage students in extracurricular activities and support their academic and personal development.
- Participate in continuous professional development and leadership training opportunities.
- Contribute to the school’s wider community and culture.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
- Experience in teaching mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for inspiring young people.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong academic focus.
- Experience in leadership or mentoring roles within a school setting.
- Experience with early career teacher support or departmental leadership.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience in developing and delivering extracurricular programmes.
