The Opportunity:

A Maths Teacher with Leadership Opportunities is sought to join a newly opened, high-achieving school. This role offers the chance to take on leadership responsibilities and contribute to a dynamic, growing department. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education and shaping the future of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Work closely with the Head of Mathematics to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Support the development of the mathematics department and contribute to departmental planning and strategy.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities, including the opportunity to become the Second in the Mathematics Department.
  • Engage students in extracurricular activities and support their academic and personal development.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and leadership training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the school’s wider community and culture.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for inspiring young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong academic focus.
  • Experience in leadership or mentoring roles within a school setting.
  • Experience with early career teacher support or departmental leadership.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in developing and delivering extracurricular programmes.
