The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Matron to join our Boarding House team, delivering high-quality pastoral care and supervision to students. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building positive relationships and ensuring the well-being of young people in a vibrant and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent pastoral care and supervision to students in the Boarding House.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Boarding House through strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Deliver a warm and compassionate approach to student welfare and support.
- Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to student care and safety.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student activities and welfare.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for all students.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a pastoral or care-related role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students and adults.
- Competency in ICT and the use of relevant software systems.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- First aid qualifications or willingness to complete training.
- Experience in a boarding or residential care environment.
- Experience with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Knowledge of school policies and procedures related to student welfare.
