Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the MFL department to ensure continued success and growth
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in French and Spanish
- Support colleagues through mentoring, coaching, and professional development
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring outstanding outcomes
- Collaborate with the wider school community to enhance the curriculum and student experience
- Organise and lead cultural enrichment trips to France, Spain, and other language-related destinations
- Promote inclusion, diversity, and a positive school culture
- Work closely with the Watergrove Trust to implement best practices and leadership development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching French and Spanish
- Proven leadership experience or a strong desire to develop into a middle leader
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
- Passion for languages and cultural education
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team
- Familiarity with the Watergrove Trust or similar multi-academy trusts
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in language learning
- Experience with cultural exchange or international education programmes
