Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality French lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 students
  • Use innovative and engaging teaching methods to inspire students and raise attainment
  • Support the development of A-level French where possible
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Track and use data to monitor student progress and inform teaching
  • Participate in departmental meetings and planning
  • Contribute to the wider school community and events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge in French
  • Experience teaching French at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Ability to work as part of a team to raise standards
  • Strong communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Confidence in using systems and data tracking tools

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A-level French
  • Early Career Teacher (ECT) with willingness to engage in induction
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies
  • Passion for languages and cross-cultural learning
