Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the midday meal service to ensure it is delivered in a safe, hygienic, and child-friendly manner.
Support students during meal times, ensuring they are encouraged to eat and engage in positive social interactions.
Monitor and report on student behavior, dietary needs, and meal preferences.
Work closely with the school team to maintain high standards of food service and student care.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals where required.
Promote a calm, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere during mealtimes.
Document and communicate any concerns or incidents related to meal times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
Knowledge of nutrition and healthy eating.
Experience in food service or catering.
Flexibility to work shifts and hours that may vary.
