The Opportunity:

As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of students during lunchtimes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the social, emotional, and physical development of students outside the classroom in a positive and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the safety and well-being of students during lunchtime periods.
Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social and emotional development.
Monitor and manage student behavior to maintain a safe and respectful atmosphere.
Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to student welfare.
Collaborate with staff and students to foster a sense of community and belonging.
Assist in organizing and supervising outdoor activities and playtimes.
Provide care and support to students with special needs where required.
Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or incidents promptly.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Experience in working with children in a school or educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day, term time only.

Preferred

Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Experience with behaviour management strategies.
Knowledge of child development and well-being.
Experience working within a school with a strong pastoral support system.
