The Opportunity:
As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of students during lunchtimes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the social, emotional, and physical development of students outside the classroom in a positive and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during lunchtime periods.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social and emotional development.
- Monitor and manage student behavior to maintain a safe and respectful atmosphere.
- Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to student welfare.
- Collaborate with staff and students to foster a sense of community and belonging.
- Assist in organizing and supervising outdoor activities and playtimes.
- Provide care and support to students with special needs where required.
- Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or incidents promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day, term time only.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies.
- Knowledge of child development and well-being.
- Experience working within a school with a strong pastoral support system.
