The Opportunity:
As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and care of students during lunchtimes. This position also offers the opportunity to support students’ social, emotional, and physical development in a positive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during lunchtimes.
- Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
- Support and supervise students during outdoor and indoor activities.
- Assist in the management of student behavior and conflict resolution.
- Encourage social and emotional development through structured activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment during meal times.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other supervisors to support school policies.
- Monitor and report any incidents or concerns promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in a school or care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day, term time only.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management.
- Experience working within a school environment.
- First aid or health and safety qualifications.
