The Opportunity:

As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment for students during the midday break. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people in a disadvantaged community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the midday break is a safe, clean, and well-managed environment for students.
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety standards during the break period.
  • Support the delivery of a structured and educational midday experience.
  • Liaise with support staff and teaching staff to ensure consistency and collaboration.
  • Assist with the supervision of students in a fair, patient, and firm manner.
  • Promote positive behavior and social interaction among students.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in school facilities during the midday period.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and parents.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience of working with children in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of health and safety standards in schools.
  • Awareness of the importance of the midday break as a social and educational period.
  • Ability to manage and supervise students effectively.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school environment, particularly in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of leadership programmes or character development initiatives.
  • Experience with school meal services or catering environments.
  • Previous experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
