The Opportunity:
As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment for students during the midday break. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people in a disadvantaged community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the midday break is a safe, clean, and well-managed environment for students.
- Monitor and maintain health and safety standards during the break period.
- Support the delivery of a structured and educational midday experience.
- Liaise with support staff and teaching staff to ensure consistency and collaboration.
- Assist with the supervision of students in a fair, patient, and firm manner.
- Promote positive behavior and social interaction among students.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in school facilities during the midday period.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and parents.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience of working with children in an educational setting.
- Understanding of health and safety standards in schools.
- Awareness of the importance of the midday break as a social and educational period.
- Ability to manage and supervise students effectively.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a school environment, particularly in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of leadership programmes or character development initiatives.
- Experience with school meal services or catering environments.
- Previous experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
