The Opportunity:

As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students during midday breaks. This position offers the chance to make a real difference in a welcoming and supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support pupil behaviour during midday breaks to ensure a safe and caring environment.
  • Supervise children both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their wellbeing and safety at all times.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere during break times.
  • Assist in managing any incidents or concerns that may arise during the midday period.
  • Support the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with staff and leadership to maintain a consistent and supportive approach to student behaviour.
  • Provide a friendly and approachable presence to encourage positive interactions among students.
  • Ensure that all activities during the midday break are conducted in line with the school’s values and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience of working with children in a school or care setting.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in a supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children.
  • Flexibility to work term-time only and within the specified hours.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or pastoral role within a school setting.
  • Experience with behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Knowledge of the Anglican Methodist faith or commitment to working within a faith-based school environment.
  • Experience in a school that values pastoral care and community development.
