As a Middle School ELD Teacher, you will lead and inspire students through a collaborative co-teaching model that promotes language development and academic success. This role is ideal for an experienced, certified teacher who is passionate about supporting English Language Learners and committed to creating an inclusive classroom culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver instruction aligned with the WIDA 2020 framework and language development best practices.
  • Collaborate with department team members, grade-level teachers, and school leaders to co-plan and co-teach lessons.
  • Develop and implement differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Administer the WIDA Screener and support the admission process for students in the ELD program.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practices and student outcomes.
  • Use technology tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders to support student progress.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes student engagement and belonging.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least two years of experience teaching English Language Learners at the Middle School level.
  • Master's degree in Bilingual or Multilingual Education, TESOL, or a related field.
  • Current English Language Development teacher certification (e.g., TESOL, ELS Endorsement, CELTA).

Preferred

  • Experience with collaborative curriculum design and backward planning.
  • Proven ability to implement inquiry-based learning and data-driven instruction.
  • Experience with assessment for student learning and differentiation strategies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively.
