The Opportunity:

As a Middle School Science and Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences to students from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. You will contribute to the school's mission of academic excellence and student well-being, while working within the framework of the MYP programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science and Mathematics instruction using inquiry-based methods to deepen student understanding.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the MYP and IB standards.
  • Utilize educational technology and learning platforms such as Google Classroom, IXL, and Khan Academy to support student progress and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive school community.
  • Participate in professional development and curriculum development initiatives.
  • Support students through advisory and pastoral care activities, where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent.
  • Professional current teacher licensure or certification.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in working with children as a grade teacher.
  • Demonstrated experience with inquiry-based teaching methods in Mathematics.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development.
  • Proficiency in using school databases, communication platforms, and educational technology.

Preferred

  • MYP/IB experience.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with advisory or pastoral care.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
