As a Middle School Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds through engaging and impactful science education. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science to students in Years 7–9, delivering engaging, well-structured, and age-appropriate lessons
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse, international student cohort
- Use assessment data to monitor progress, provide feedback, and inform future planning
- Support the school’s positive behaviour and pastoral systems in line with school values
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department and across the wider Middle School
- Participate in school trips, projects, and enrichment activities that enhance student learning
- Engage in professional development and whole-school improvement initiatives
- Support extra-curricular activities where appropriate
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related subject
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- Experience teaching Science at Middle School / Lower Secondary level
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
- A collaborative and professional approach to working within a team
- The right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)
Preferred
- Experience in an international or bilingual school setting
- Confidence delivering practical Science and project-based learning
- Ability to contribute to cross-curricular initiatives or teach an additional subject
