Minibus Driver job opportunity at a school in Scarborough. Part-time, permanent role available from February 2026.

The Opportunity:

As a Minibus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students safely between collection points and the academy. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the school’s transport services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the minibus routes efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure the safe and timely transport of students to and from the academy.
  • Maintain a clean and well-kept minibus at all times.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Complete all required documentation and reports accurately.
  • Assist with any additional transport-related duties as required.
  • Attend MiDAS training if not already qualified.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A valid driving license and experience operating a minibus.
  • A willingness to complete MiDAS training if not already held.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational transport setting.
  • Experience with child passenger safety and transport regulations.
  • Knowledge of local routes and areas served by the school.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on full-time equivalent (pro rata for part-time).
  • 22.5 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks).
