The Opportunity:
As a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the educational experience of students through engaging, inquiry-based learning. You will support the development of international mindedness and contribute to a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student success and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver rich, engaging, and challenging learning experiences aligned with the IB curriculum.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages student inquiry, critical thinking, and international mindedness.
- Plan and implement effective assessments to support student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching and learning across the school.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Support the school’s mission by promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, and student-centered learning.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.
- Stay up to date with current educational research and best practices in Modern Foreign Languages teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelors degree in a Modern Foreign Languages discipline or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years’ experience teaching in a reputable school.
- Experience in IB or GCSE subject-specific teaching.
- A track record of outstanding student results.
- Demonstrated professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient/advanced-level English language skills.
- Inter-cultural awareness and ability to engage with students and parents.
Preferred
- Experience with the IB programme.
- Knowledge of inquiry-based learning approaches.
- Experience in planning and delivering student-centered learning experiences.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, evolving school environment.
