The Opportunity:

As a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the educational experience of students through engaging, inquiry-based learning. You will support the development of international mindedness and contribute to a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student success and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver rich, engaging, and challenging learning experiences aligned with the IB curriculum.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages student inquiry, critical thinking, and international mindedness.
  • Plan and implement effective assessments to support student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching and learning across the school.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, and student-centered learning.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Stay up to date with current educational research and best practices in Modern Foreign Languages teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelors degree in a Modern Foreign Languages discipline or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience teaching in a reputable school.
  • Experience in IB or GCSE subject-specific teaching.
  • A track record of outstanding student results.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient/advanced-level English language skills.
  • Inter-cultural awareness and ability to engage with students and parents.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB programme.
  • Knowledge of inquiry-based learning approaches.
  • Experience in planning and delivering student-centered learning experiences.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, evolving school environment.
