Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Spanish teaching at Key Stages 4 and 5, with the ability to teach another language at Key Stage 3.
- Develop engaging and challenging lesson plans that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for language learning.
- Support students in achieving excellent results, with a focus on progression to university-level study.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and share best practices.
- Contribute to the school’s ethos of inclusivity and student-centered learning.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and provide pastoral support where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments in language teaching and incorporate innovative approaches into lessons.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Modern Foreign Languages, preferably Spanish.
- Experience teaching at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
- Commitment to the school’s values and ethos of ‘children first’.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with digital tools and resources for language teaching.
- A proven track record of achieving high student outcomes.
