The Opportunity:

As a Multi-Disciplinary Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the school's infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of a wide range of facilities. This is a hands-on, varied role that offers the chance to work with cutting-edge systems and contribute to a vibrant, forward-thinking institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage a range of engineering systems, including heating, plumbing, and electrical installations.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of facilities such as swimming pools, theatres, and commercial buildings.
  • Collaborate with the Estates Team to implement improvements and carry out maintenance projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with other departments to support the school’s operational needs.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term infrastructure plans.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering role, with a focus on electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of building services and maintenance procedures.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Valid engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • Experience with commercial heating systems and 3-phase electrical installations.
  • Familiarity with theatre lighting and audio-visual systems.
  • Experience working in a school or educational institution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
