The Opportunity:
As a Multi-Disciplinary Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the school's infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of a wide range of facilities. This is a hands-on, varied role that offers the chance to work with cutting-edge systems and contribute to a vibrant, forward-thinking institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage a range of engineering systems, including heating, plumbing, and electrical installations.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of facilities such as swimming pools, theatres, and commercial buildings.
- Collaborate with the Estates Team to implement improvements and carry out maintenance projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Work closely with other departments to support the school’s operational needs.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Contribute to the development of long-term infrastructure plans.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering role, with a focus on electrical and plumbing systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of building services and maintenance procedures.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- Valid engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
Preferred
- Experience with commercial heating systems and 3-phase electrical installations.
- Familiarity with theatre lighting and audio-visual systems.
- Experience working in a school or educational institution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
