Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music education across all key stages, promoting creativity and performance skills.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages all students to thrive.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the continued improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance music provision across the school.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Stay up to date with developments in music education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in music theory and practice.
  • Experience in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school improvement.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading extracurricular music activities or ensembles.
  • Familiarity with music technology and digital resources.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student populations.
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
