Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a broad, balanced and engaging Music curriculum.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning at long-, medium- and short-term levels.
  • Create high-quality lessons that enable pupils to reach their full potential.
  • Support SEN and EAL pupils in line with school policy.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme, including music clubs, choirs, performances and productions.
  • Promote and model the vision and values of the school.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional and physical development.
  • Maintain a purposeful, safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Uphold and promote the school’s vision, values and culture, including local Saudi cultural expectations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music.
  • PGCE (or equivalent) if B.Ed not held.
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum.
  • Experience in Music curriculum development.
  • Strong classroom management and pastoral skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with EAL learners.
  • An understanding of the expectations of UK independent and international schools.
