Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a broad, balanced and engaging Music curriculum.
- Contribute to curriculum planning at long-, medium- and short-term levels.
- Create high-quality lessons that enable pupils to reach their full potential.
- Support SEN and EAL pupils in line with school policy.
- Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme, including music clubs, choirs, performances and productions.
- Promote and model the vision and values of the school.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and physical development.
- Maintain a purposeful, safe and engaging learning environment.
- Uphold and promote the school’s vision, values and culture, including local Saudi cultural expectations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music.
- PGCE (or equivalent) if B.Ed not held.
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant teaching experience.
- Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum.
- Experience in Music curriculum development.
- Strong classroom management and pastoral skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with EAL learners.
- An understanding of the expectations of UK independent and international schools.
