Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality music lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students through engaging and creative teaching methods.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high standards of attainment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student development and school initiatives.
  • Participate in extracurricular music activities, including ensembles, performances, and events.
  • Stay up to date with current teaching methodologies and best practices in music education.
  • Provide individual and group support to students to enhance their musical abilities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant music education or performance qualifications.
  • Proven experience in teaching music at a secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and its application in music education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital music tools and technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in leading or managing music ensembles or groups.
  • Ability to perform or conduct music.
  • Experience in a multicultural or international school setting.
