Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative music lessons that inspire a love of learning and creativity.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets GCSE standards and supports student achievement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages musical growth and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
- Support the school’s leadership and character development programme through music and performance opportunities.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high standards of attainment.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities that promote student engagement and achievement.
- Stay up to date with developments in music education and incorporate new ideas into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality music lessons that drive student achievement.
- Demonstrated experience of achieving positive outcomes for students.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular music programmes.
- Experience with innovative and creative teaching methods.
- Experience in a school with a leadership or character development focus.
