Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across all Key Stages.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects the school’s values and high standards.
  • Motivate and support students to achieve their full potential in music.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s music program and extracurricular activities.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to staff training and development.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being.

  • Engage with parents and the wider school community through events and communication.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant teaching experience, ideally in a school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in music.
  • Experience in teaching across Key Stages.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with music technology and digital teaching tools.
  • Experience in leading extracurricular music activities.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) or similar.
  • Experience in a co-educational or mixed setting.
  • Leadership experience or a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
