The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Music Teacher to join our team and contribute to the development of our music programme. This role offers the chance to inspire students of all abilities and shape a vibrant learning environment that supports both academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students up to A level.
- Develop and implement creative, innovative teaching strategies that enhance student learning.
- Manage and utilise a wide range of resources, including 4 dedicated teaching rooms and 11 practice rooms.
- Contribute to the school’s pastoral system and support student wellbeing.
- Lead an extra-curricular activity that enriches students’ learning or personal interests.
- Collaborate with colleagues to further develop the school’s music programme.
- Support students in achieving academic success through individualised and inspiring teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in delivering the British curriculum.
- Fluent English speaker with at least two years’ teaching experience.
- Ability to plan and deliver lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Commitment to developing innovative and creative approaches to learning.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching music up to A level.
- Background in performing arts or music composition.
- Experience with extra-curricular programme development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
