The Opportunity:
As a Music Teacher KS1/2, you will play a key role in developing students’ musical talents and creativity within the framework of the Cambridge curriculum. You will deliver engaging and innovative lessons that foster a lifelong love of music and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative and age-appropriate music lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school-wide events
- Plan and implement engaging music activities that promote creativity and musical skills
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning needs
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s music programme
- Engage with parents and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to student development
- Support the school’s mission by contributing to a vibrant and inclusive learning community
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience at primary school level
- Strong knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum for elementary education
- Ability to plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate music lessons
- Excellent classroom management skills with an ability to engage young learners
Preferred
- Proficiency in various musical instruments
- Good communication skills in English; additional language skills are welcome
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
