The Opportunity:

As a Music Teacher KS1/2, you will play a key role in developing students’ musical talents and creativity within the framework of the Cambridge curriculum. You will deliver engaging and innovative lessons that foster a lifelong love of music and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative and age-appropriate music lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school-wide events
  • Plan and implement engaging music activities that promote creativity and musical skills
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning needs
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s music programme
  • Engage with parents and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to student development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience at primary school level
  • Strong knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum for elementary education
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate music lessons
  • Excellent classroom management skills with an ability to engage young learners

Preferred

  • Proficiency in various musical instruments
  • Good communication skills in English; additional language skills are welcome
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
