Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Music Technology to KS4 and KS5 students
  • Create and implement practical, hands-on learning experiences tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging situations with confidence and professionalism
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH and SEN
  • Plan and deliver lessons that align with curriculum standards and learning outcomes
  • Support the development of students’ technical and creative skills in Music Technology
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the school’s collaborative working culture

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience working with SEMH/SEN pupils
  • Strong experience in delivering KS4 or KS5 Music Technology
  • Ability to manage behaviour and de-escalate challenging situations
  • Excellent differentiation and creative teaching skills
  • Understanding of EHCPs and targeted interventions
  • Commitment to inclusion and student success

Preferred

  • Experience with alternative provision or SEMH specialist settings
  • Knowledge of modern music production tools and software
  • Experience in developing and delivering practical, hands-on lessons
  • Background in music education or related field
