The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the MYP curriculum in line with IB standards and school values.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in English and Individuals and Societies to Middle Years students.
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies that support student learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a culture of innovation and professional growth.
  • Engage in curriculum development and contribute to research initiatives, particularly in outdoor learning and robotics.
  • Support student wellbeing and safeguarding practices in line with school policies.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents, promoting a strong learning community.
  • Participate in professional development aligned with personal and school goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience as an MYP Coordinator, including participation in the IB accreditation process.
  • A degree in the relevant subject area with a Master’s qualification.
  • A recognised teaching qualification in English and Individuals and Societies (e.g., PGCE, iPGCE).
  • At least three years of teaching experience in English and Individuals and Societies.
  • Strong understanding of inquiry-based teaching and learning practices.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
  • The right to work in Europe (e.g., European passport or relevant visa).

Preferred

  • Three years of teaching experience in an international school or IB environment.
  • Experience with IB candidacy and authorisation processes.
