As a MYP Individuals and Societies Teacher, you will deliver engaging, concept-driven learning experiences that promote critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and active global citizenship. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, teach, and assess MYP Individuals & Societies courses in alignment with IB programme standards and practices.
- Design learning experiences that integrate inquiry, conceptual understanding, and real-world connections.
- Differentiate instruction to support the diverse language and learning needs of students in a multicultural environment.
- Incorporate a range of teaching strategies, digital tools, and formative/summative assessments to enhance engagement and achievement.
- Guide students in research skills, data analysis, and critical evaluation of information sources.
- Contribute to the ongoing development, review, and documentation of MYP curriculum framework.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to plan interdisciplinary units and ensure continuity of learning.
- Foster a classroom environment that values inquiry, respect, and intercultural understanding.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international school context.
- Experience teaching MYP Individuals & Societies strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to inquiry-based learning, interdisciplinary teaching, and the development of global competencies.

- Experience integrating service learning and global issues into curriculum.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to use technology effectively to enhance learning.
