The Opportunity:

As a MYP Individuals & Societies and DP Global Politics Teacher, you will inspire students to explore human experience and global issues through inquiry-based learning. You will help students make meaningful connections between global and local contexts, fostering intercultural understanding and a sense of shared responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the IB MYP and DP frameworks.
  • Integrate global perspectives and local contexts into learning to deepen conceptual understanding.
  • Design and assess learning experiences that emphasize inquiry, critical thinking, and ethical reflection.
  • Use a range of instructional strategies and technologies to support diverse learners and empower student agency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment, coherence, and innovation across programs.
  • Build strong, caring relationships with students, contributing to a culture where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected.
  • Model empathy, respect, and intercultural understanding in daily interactions.
  • Create inclusive classroom environments that honor and celebrate diverse identities and perspectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, International Relations, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Valid teaching qualification or certification.
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably within the IB MYP Individuals and Societies and/or DP Global Politics frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning, assessment for learning, and concept-based curriculum design.
  • Commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, and global citizenship.

Preferred

  • Experience in international or intercultural education.
  • Culturally responsive and respectful of diverse communities and host cultures.
