The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated MYP Mathematics and Sciences Teacher to contribute to curriculum development and student engagement. This role is ideal for educators passionate about inquiry-based learning and technology integration in an IB setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement MYP Mathematics and Sciences units aligned with IB standards.
- Document inquiry, action, and reflection components of each unit on Toddle.
- Maintain up-to-date subject overviews for taught subjects.
- Collaborate weekly with the MYP coordinator for individual and horizontal/vertical planning.
- Fulfill duty care responsibilities as scheduled by the school.
- Lead one student club per term to enhance extracurricular engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant teaching qualifications and proven experience in an IB MYP setting.
- Demonstrated experience teaching MYP Mathematics and Sciences.
- Strong understanding of IB pedagogical frameworks and educational theories.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Ability to apply an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning.
- Proficient in integrating technology into classroom instruction.
Preferred
- IB training certificate in MYP Mathematics and/or MYP Sciences.
- Experience teaching IB DP Mathematics.
