The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting and caring for young children within the Pre-Prep Department. You will contribute to delivering a high-quality early years education, while also supporting initiatives across the wider school group. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and care for Nursery children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
  • Deliver engaging and creative learning activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Work collaboratively with other Nursery staff to provide a consistent and nurturing environment for children.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and colleagues.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of daily routines and activities.
  • Contribute to the pastoral and academic development of all children in the Nursery.
  • Attend relevant training and inset days to enhance professional development.
  • Support the school’s values and mission through daily interactions with children and families.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young children in an early years setting.
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
  • Commitment to the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied workload.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Nursery Assistant or within early years education.
  • Experience with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • First aid or emergency paediatric first aid training.
  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
