The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our caring and creative team. This role involves nurturing young children in a stimulating and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and a genuine passion for early years education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 2–5.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Support the emotional, social, and physical development of each child.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality approach to learning and care.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development.
  • Engage in outdoor learning and play, including access to the school’s adventure playground and forest school.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support children’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Participate in staff training and development to enhance professional practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualifications in early years education or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and best practices in early years care.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, caring, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Confidence in leading activities such as music, drama, and storytelling.
  • Experience with outdoor learning and play.
  • Experience in supporting children with special educational needs or additional requirements.
