The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be instrumental in shaping the early years of young children through engaging, developmentally appropriate care and education. You will create a warm and stimulating environment that supports the physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children aged 12 months to 3 years. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and education tailored to the individual needs of young children
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that support physical, emotional, and intellectual development
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive approach
  • Keep detailed records of children’s progress and development
  • Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and organisation of play areas and equipment
  • Promote positive behaviour and create a nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of child protection
  • Support the school’s mission by contributing to a positive, inclusive, and caring community

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Enthusiasm for working with young children and a commitment to delivering exceptional childcare
  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding, inclusivity, and child development
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a positive, patient approach to working with children
  • Willingness to grow and contribute to a vibrant, caring nursery community

Preferred

  • Level 2 qualification in Childcare or actively working towards it
  • Experience in early years education or nursery settings
  • Familiarity with key worker responsibilities and child development tracking
