As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and education to young children, supporting their physical, emotional, and intellectual development. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the individual needs of children
- Maintain effective communication with parents and staff to ensure a consistent approach to child development
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children's learning and wellbeing
- Keep detailed records of children's development and progress
- Manage children's behaviour in a positive and consistent manner
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of play areas and equipment
- Adhere to all safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
- Support the school's commitment to the holistic development of every child
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 NVQ in childcare or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs
- Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices
- Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate adaptability
Preferred
- Experience in early years education or nursery settings
- Knowledge of curriculum planning and delivery for young children
- Experience with key worker responsibilities and child development record-keeping
- Commitment to personal and professional development
