The Opportunity:
A Nursery Practitioner is needed to support the school’s early years program with flexible, ad hoc shifts. This role offers the chance to work in a nurturing environment, making a meaningful impact on young children’s development and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of high-quality early years education and care
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging learning activities
- Promote the social, emotional, and physical development of children
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for children
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure the best outcomes for children
- Keep accurate records of children’s progress and development
- Support the implementation of the school’s policies and procedures
- Engage with parents and carers to build strong relationships
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in early years education or equivalent experience
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to child safety and welfare
- Ability to work flexibly and independently
Preferred
- Experience with ad hoc or bank shifts
- Knowledge of early years curricula and best practices
- Experience working in a school or educational setting
- First aid and paediatric first aid qualifications
