The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the early development and learning of young children. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and deliver high-quality early years education to meet children’s individual needs.
  • Work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Promote personal, social, and emotional development through engaging and structured activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of children’s progress.
  • Plan and implement activities that support the curriculum and encourage learning through play.
  • Support the smooth running of the nursery, including meal times and transitions between activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Experience working with young children in a nursery setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for own role.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.

Preferred

  • Recent experience in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Experience with child development and play-based learning.
  • Flexibility to work 2-5 days per week, year-round.
  • Experience with working in a charitable or independent school setting.
