The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the early development and learning of young children. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and deliver high-quality early years education to meet children’s individual needs.
- Work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the quality of teaching and learning.
- Promote personal, social, and emotional development through engaging and structured activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of children’s progress.
- Plan and implement activities that support the curriculum and encourage learning through play.
- Support the smooth running of the nursery, including meal times and transitions between activities.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Experience working with young children in a nursery setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for own role.
- Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
Preferred
- Recent experience in a nursery or early years setting.
- Experience with child development and play-based learning.
- Flexibility to work 2-5 days per week, year-round.
- Experience with working in a charitable or independent school setting.
