The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Teacher EYFS to join our team and create a vibrant, inclusive learning environment aligned with the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. This role offers the opportunity to inspire, nurture, and support young learners in a multicultural and international setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and age-appropriate lessons based on the EYFS curriculum.
  • Promote a balance of adult-led and child-initiated learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including EAL and SEND pupils.
  • Embed early literacy and numeracy through phonics programmes such as Jolly Phonics or Letters and Sounds.
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s development using platforms like Tapestry.
  • Use assessments to plan personalised next steps and track progress.
  • Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment both indoors and outdoors.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and social development.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and other staff members.
  • Participate in parent meetings, open days, school events, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • UK-recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE with QTS or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching within the EYFS.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and British curriculum expectations.

Preferred

  • Experience in international or bilingual school settings.
  • Paediatric First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc or Jolly Phonics.
  • Proficiency with digital assessment tools like Tapestry.
