The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Teacher to join its team on a part-time basis to cover maternity leave. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's early education in a warm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality early years education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of young children.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of each child.
- Work closely with parents and colleagues to support the holistic development of children.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the nursery.
- Promote positive behavior and encourage a culture of respect and kindness.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Strong knowledge of child development and early years education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or nursery setting.
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and best practices.
- Experience with curriculum planning and delivery in early years education.
- Confidence in engaging with parents and building strong relationships.
