The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Teacher to join its team on a part-time basis to cover maternity leave. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's early education in a warm and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality early years education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of young children.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Work closely with parents and colleagues to support the holistic development of children.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the nursery.
  • Promote positive behavior and encourage a culture of respect and kindness.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early years education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school or nursery setting.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and best practices.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery in early years education.
  • Confidence in engaging with parents and building strong relationships.
