Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with class teachers, ABA supervisors, and parents to support individualized learning plans.
- Design and implement therapeutic interventions to enhance communication and behavioral outcomes.
- Work closely with speech and language therapists and other professionals to ensure holistic support for pupils.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to adjust and improve therapeutic strategies.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
- Contribute to the development of personalized curricula aligned with ABA methodologies.
- Support the transition of pupils into training, employment, or further education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified occupational therapist with experience in autism support.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and therapeutic techniques.
- Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to student-centered approaches and inclusive education.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid enhanced DBS certificate.
Preferred
- Experience working with children on the autism spectrum.
- Knowledge of sensory integration and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with educational frameworks and curriculum development.
- Experience in a special needs or therapeutic setting.
- Willingness to participate in professional development and mentorship.
