The Opportunity:

As a Lead Clinician - Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in managing the in-house clinical team and delivering bespoke assessments and interventions for students with complex needs. This is a leadership position that offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students and to shape clinical services within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the in-house clinical team, providing clinical supervision and support
  • Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex needs
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and Regional Clinical Lead to develop and implement clinical strategies
  • Ensure all interventions align with EHCP plans and are delivered through the OFG ‘all,’ ‘group,’ and ‘individual’ clinical approaches
  • Coordinate the line management of the onsite clinical team and contribute to the development of clinical services
  • Work closely with education teams to support the holistic development of students
  • Maintain a person-centred approach, ensuring the needs and voices of students are at the forefront of all clinical decisions
  • Participate in research projects, special interest groups, and training and development opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
  • Valid and up to date professional registration and membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., BPS)
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience, preferably in a child/education setting, with management experience
  • Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs
  • Ability to write clear and concise clinical and research reports
  • Experience of providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
  • Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing clinical service
  • Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle

Preferred

  • Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty
  • Experience in research or special interest groups
  • Experience of working within a clinical network that meets regularly for training and development

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £50,000 - £60,000 FTE DOE
  • 4 days of work per week with full pay (subject to successful completion of probation)
