The Opportunity:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering specialist assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs. This is a unique opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team and make a real difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to the individual needs of pupils.
- Work collaboratively with education teams to support pupils in developing independence and life skills.
- Maintain a caseload of pupils, with support from a designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
- Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
- Follow the occupational therapy ways of working provided by the school.
- Ensure all practice aligns with professional standards and governing body requirements.
- Engage in research projects and special interest groups to enhance professional development.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid and up-to-date HCPC Registration.
- Registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
- Experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting.
- Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of occupational therapy theory and its practical application.
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, and confidently.
- Clear and concise report writing skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
Preferred
- Experience working with neurodivergent pupils or those with learning difficulties or socio-emotional and mental health needs.
- Experience in multi-professional team settings.
- Interest in sensory integration or sensory-informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to £53,200 FTE.
