The Opportunity:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering specialist assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs. This is a unique opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team and make a real difference in the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to the individual needs of pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with education teams to support pupils in developing independence and life skills.
  • Maintain a caseload of pupils, with support from a designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
  • Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
  • Follow the occupational therapy ways of working provided by the school.
  • Ensure all practice aligns with professional standards and governing body requirements.
  • Engage in research projects and special interest groups to enhance professional development.
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid and up-to-date HCPC Registration.
  • Registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
  • Experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting.
  • Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of occupational therapy theory and its practical application.
  • Ability to work independently, flexibly, and confidently.
  • Clear and concise report writing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Preferred

  • Experience working with neurodivergent pupils or those with learning difficulties or socio-emotional and mental health needs.
  • Experience in multi-professional team settings.
  • Interest in sensory integration or sensory-informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed).

  • Competitive salary up to £53,200 FTE.
