The Opportunity:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will deliver specialist assessment and intervention to pupils with SEMH needs, neurodivergent students, and those with developmental trauma. This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people within a supportive and innovative education environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessments and interventions to pupils with SEMH, neurodivergent, or developmental trauma needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the education team to support pupils’ independence and development.
  • Follow the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working to ensure consistent and high-quality practice.
  • Maintain a caseload and contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
  • Engage in research projects, special interest groups, and professional development opportunities.
  • Support pupils in developing sensory integration and sensory-informed practice where applicable.
  • Ensure all work aligns with the standards of professional bodies and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
  • Valid and up to date HCPC Registration
  • Registered member of RCOT
  • Experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting
  • Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application
  • Ability to work independently, flexibly, and confidently
  • Clear and concise report writing skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car

Preferred

  • Experience working with neurodivergent individuals or those with learning difficulties and socio-emotional and mental health needs
  • Sensory integration or sensory-informed practice experience (SI practitioner training in progress or completed)
