The Opportunity:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with developmental trauma, neurodivergence, or SEMH needs. You will deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessments and interventions, helping students build independence and confidence in a supportive, education-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Work collaboratively with the education team to support students in achieving their personal and academic goals.
- Maintain a caseload of students, providing ongoing support and monitoring progress.
- Adhere to the school’s occupational therapy ways of working and professional standards.
- Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings to ensure best practice.
- Develop and implement strategies to foster independence and life skills.
- Document and report on student progress and outcomes clearly and regularly.
- Engage with students, families, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid and up to date HCPC Registration.
- Registered member of RCOT.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of occupational therapy theory and its practical application.
- Experience working with neurodivergent individuals or those with learning and socio-emotional and mental health difficulties.
Preferred
- Relevant experience in providing occupational therapy services in a similar setting.
- Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality.
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, and confidently.
- Clear and concise report writing skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to £53,200 FTE, DOE.
