The Opportunity:

As the Operations Team Lead for Short Courses, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality short course programs, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional participant experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about educational events and hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day planning and delivery of short courses, including staffing, boarding, catering, and logistics.
  • Serve as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff.
  • Coordinate the planning and distribution of detailed schedules for all short courses.
  • Support recruitment and allocation processes for Rowing Course participants.
  • Assist with HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of short course staff.
  • Liaise with IT to ensure technology needs are met for students and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of student information and conduct post-course impact assessments.
  • Provide 24/7 support for any operational issues during the short course program.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Develop and deliver staff briefing materials for short course activities.
  • Coordinate student room allocations and collaborate with the Catering Department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational establishment.
  • Demonstrable experience of safeguarding procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience in recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
