The Opportunity:
As an Outdoor Education Practitioner, you will play a key role in shaping the experiences of international students aged 13 to 19 through adventurous and educational outdoor activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, close-knit team while making a meaningful impact on student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support weekend activities including hiking, camping, skiing, cycling, service projects, and expeditions.
- Prepare and manage equipment, logistics, and risk assessments for outdoor and off-campus activities.
- Mentor and supervise students during weekends and selected weekday sessions.
- Assist with SENDA / PSHE lessons during the school week.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure continuity and reliability in all outdoor and co-curricular programs.
- Organize and manage events and trips with a focus on safety, flexibility, and student engagement.
- Provide guidance and support in an intercultural environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Teaching and/or coaching qualifications from national or regional authorities.
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant area.
- Swiss, EU, or EFTA citizenship with the right to work in Switzerland.
- Experience working in education, schools, or co-curricular roles.
- Experience working with young people and the ability to demonstrate initiative and leadership.
- Strong spoken and written English skills.
- Competency in German or Italian.
Preferred
- Experience in organizing events and trips.
- Multilingual skills in addition to English, German, or Italian.
- Confidence in public speaking and warm presentation skills.
- Experience working in an intercultural environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of CHF 2,000.00 - 2,500.00 per month.
