The Opportunity:

As an Outreach Maths Teacher, you will deliver one-to-one lessons to students with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them achieve academic success through engaging and adaptable teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individualised Maths lessons aligned with the student's academic level and learning objectives.
  • Teach a range of Maths topics at GCSE or equivalent levels.
  • Promote mathematical understanding and motivation in students with diverse needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEND and other learning challenges.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Collaborate with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student.
  • Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress in line with educational requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Maths.
  • Experience teaching Edexcel Functional Skills Maths: Entry Level 1 up to Level 2, KS3, or GCSE Mathematics Foundation and Higher level.
  • Valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.

Preferred

  • Experience working with SEND students.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and related topics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work in various locations, including students’ homes or other designated learning environments.
