The Opportunity:
As an Outreach Maths Teacher, you will deliver one-to-one lessons to students with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them achieve academic success through individualised and flexible teaching. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualised Maths lessons tailored to the student’s academic level and learning objectives.
- Teach a range of Maths topics at GCSE, A-Level, or equivalent levels.
- Adapt teaching methods to support students with diverse learning needs and challenges.
- Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and support staff.
- Maintain thorough records of lessons and student progress in line with educational standards.
- Collaborate with pastoral teams to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive learning experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Maths.
- Experience teaching Edexcel Functional Skills Maths, KS3, GCSE Mathematics, or AQA A-Level Maths.
- Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and related topics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in various locations, including students’ homes.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with SEND.
- Experience in one-to-one teaching environments.
- SEND-specific training or professional development in special educational needs.
