Outreach Science Teacher needed to deliver individualised Science lessons for students with SEND.

The Opportunity:
As an Outreach Science Teacher, you will deliver one-to-one Science lessons to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them achieve academic success through individualised and engaging teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualised Science lessons tailored to each student's academic level and learning objectives.
- Teach a range of Science topics at GCSE or equivalent levels.
- Promote scientific understanding and engagement through adaptable and inclusive teaching methods.
- Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and staff.
- Collaborate with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for students.
- Maintain detailed records of lessons and student progress in accordance with educational standards.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND and other learning challenges.
- Work flexibly across various locations, including students’ homes and other agreed learning environments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Science.
- Experience teaching KS3 Science or GCSE Combined and Triple Science.
- Excellent knowledge of the Science curriculum and related topics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for one-to-one teaching.
- Flexibility to work in different locations, including students’ homes.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Commitment to professional development and SEND-specific training.
